Amateur Radio Reunion Day is an event planned to unite all radio amateurs in Malaysia , Mikes, Whiskeys and Short Wave Listeners , regardless of club affiliation. Furthermore, we are also celebrating 80 years of amateur radio in Malaysia. Our Senior 9M are not getting younger and we have lost a few already. This is the time for 9W and SWL to get to know them. So far more than 30 Mikes from around the country have confirm their attendance (click here to view the growing list of participants). We also need volunteers to help out in the event. If you want to participate kindly contact the moderators. We also welcome any suggestions / ideas to make this event a success. Your early confirmation is greatly appreciated to facilitate our planning.
EVENT PROGRAM --------------------
1500 hrs – Registration opens
– Flea market begins
1700 hrs – Tech talk by 9M2DX (inside bungalow)
2000 hrs – Arrival of guests
2030 hrs – Dinner begins
2100 hrs – Welcome dance
– Welcome speech by organizing chairman, 9M2PD
– Dinner show
– Who’s Who and presentation of memorabilias
– Lucky Draw
2230 hrs – Dinner ends
2300 hrs – DX-ing & Teh Tarik
0100 hrs – Music shuts down
Location : Beach front Bungalow in Port Dickson, hosted by 9M2PD.
Accommodation: Self-arranged; Hotel, Chalet, or DIY on camping ground. Please book early.
Event date: Saturday 13 Dec 2008.
Early Registration closing date: 15 Nov 2008 or first 300 paid registration.
Charges:
Amateur Station or SWL:
- RM30 per person (if pay by 15 Nov 2008)
- RM40 per person (if pay by 30 Nov 2008)
- RM50 per person (if pay after 30 Nov 2008)
Family Member (7 years old & above):
- RM10 per person (if pay by 15 Nov 2008)
- RM15 per person (if pay after 15 Nov 2008)
Children below 7 years old: Eats free
There will be stations from Thailand, Indonesia, Singapore, Brunei, and Philippines attending.
